Looking for some ideas on how to stripe the new Windvail Blue Vert GT. The problem I have is the top is black and I'd really like to do white stripes, but don't think white will work with a black top, so....anyone with a Blue Windvail striped or anyone who has stripes colored differently than their top, post some pics so I can try to get some ideas. Thanks
I just ordered wide white stripes for the hood from Graphic Express. Their web site shows some examples and I have ordered from them before. They always answer the phone and their 3m products are really good quality. www.graphic-express.com.
2006 GT Steeda Sport springs, FlowMaster American Thunders, Pypes Off-Road H-pipe, Tunable Induction CAI, CMCV Delete and MotoBlue UDrive pulleys with BamaChip's 87oct tune.
294.29RWHP and 316.65RWTQ= Before the Deletes and Pulleys.
DougMM, cool site, thanks...just what i was needing. Wish it had a Vert as it's demo as well, but the hardtop in the base color still gave me some maybe's and some oh-no's. may end up going black, 3-striper, didn't look bad
Silver is like white, it goes with anything, yet silver adds a richer look.
I'm a big advocate of paint over vinyl, to me it's like choosing leather over vinyl. It is cheaper and looks cheaper. When you sit in a leather seat or wear a leather coat there is no comparison. The car is painted, not vinyled, vinyl is not natural to paint. Also the inset effect ever the ridge effect is reason enough to spend a few more bucks. I was lucky enough to find a painter who mixes his own paint so I could have any color I wanted. My stripes are mixed with a little Blue Pearl and a little Purple to go with the Lavender in the Tungsten.
You have a fairly expensive ride, respect it, DON'T GO HALFWAY have them painted on.
I agree with GT300....paint is a must. I had the vinyl stripes for a year and decided to take the plunge with paint. It is more expensive but will last a life time with proper care.
I took a different road with my stripes. I went from silver vinyl stripes to a ghost stripe with ghost flames.
The color pic doesn't do the paint justice, so I also have a black and white photo that shows the detail. You have to be close to the car to see it, but I wanted something that was not BOLD.
I really like subtle and that's about as subtle as you can get.
I saw a Blue with darker grey stripes in another thread and thought it looked great.
Man, I really like the looks of yours, also!
Personally, I get tired of the same white on black, white on blue, white on red, black on white, bla, bla, bla.
It's good see some of you guys showing some originality. Love it!
Also love your avatar, I had a 68 1/2 428 Cobra Jet Mustang. Thats my favorite body style.
Great Job.
Thanks for the comments, the judges at my last car show loved them too .
I shelled out $300 for vinyl stripes before I settled on this look. I am happy with it.
Take care!

What sort of price range are you talking about for striping in PAINT?
I finally have my dream mustang and I'm thinking of mineral gray stripes on windveil blue. Maybe satin silver stripes, but it'll be one of those two for sure. Just wondering about a price range before I even think of getting my hopes too high.

My $.02 worth, I have a vert, and I am looking to do a modified version of the Foose/Boss stripes. I personally thought the stripes going from front to rear looks a bit odd on a vert since it can not go over the top of a vert, so I like the stripes that flow off the side of the hood and go from there.
