vortech supercharger w/aftercooler

I just picked up my 06 Gt After having a vortech supercharger w/aftercooler installed any one else running one? If so any tips?

I heard these super chargers kick in at high rpm and leave much to be desired @ mids, is this true? I ask because I was going to get a Vortech SC but was discouraged by some of the things I've read.

I have no complaints about my Vortech! Its a daily driver and boost kicking in at around 3K makes it easier to drive! However when I want the power Im usually running in the higher RPMs anyway and its all there! I also have JBA shorties and it sure smooths the power out along with a custome dyno tune. 402RWHP with 390 torque. This is a consevative tune I know, but AF is perfect, gas milage is better and the GT absolutly runs like a charm!

I will be taking the car for a dyno test and a custom tune differant than the vortech tune on the 12th. so far the car is very smooth. The only concern i have is the gear chatter when car is at idle that the mechanic is telling me is normal. Gas mileage is better so far in town. I havent noticed any problems at mid rpms as boost seems to kick in around 2500-3000 rpms. I will post dyno results as soon as i get them.

I went to the race track on monday. The track is an 1/8 mile my average times were 8.5-8.7 seconds with speeds were 87mph to 89mph. This is the vortech tune that comes with the super charger i will post new times after the custome tune on the 12th. The times and speeds were from a dead stop with reaction times from 2 tenths to 5 tenths of a second.

Love my kit...7K+ miles on mine with no issues whatsoever..daily driver and gobs of power. with the tweaked canned tune, exhaust and JBA long tubes I have 431 at the tire now...No going to push it for anymore
