I am using 5w-30 and may switch to 10w-30 soon but I have a fully built motor.

I started to use Mobile 1 5-20, and i have an oil temp guage. Since the switch, i noticed the Mobile 1 running cooler than the Motorcraft stuff. At 6 bucks a quart, its not cheap, but seems to be cooling the engine and that is a plus. Is royal purple better?

I only average 4k miles per year, so I'd go w/ whatever is best. I only have the RP coating the 4.10's.
