Does the Hurst shifter kit come with the "Hurst equipped" badge? I just ordered one and was just wondering

No, it does not. It does come withe some stickers, though, but not a badge.

No, the badge can be gotten from summit auto for about $10.

Adds a nice touch.

im planning to buy the hurst shifter, and wanted to know if installing it is pretty easy for a rookie installer : im not that handy but do have some friends that are pretty good when it comes to cars

If you have some ramps to put the car up on it's pretty easy. Since I was retaining the stock rear bushing I just loosened the strap that holds the rear of the shifter and slid the old shifter's tongue out of the stock bushing, which made pulling the old shifter out easier. From breaking out the tools and putting the car on the ramps, to having everything put away was maybe 2 hours total, and that was taking my time. Probably could be done in less than an hour.

It's a pretty easy install... I would recommend having a friend inside the car to help get the old shifter out, and the new one in.

Real simple install. I also have the Hurst Equipped badges, but I put them on the fender underneath the "GT". This is how the Hurst equipped cars came with these badges in the 60s. People ask me all the time if it's a special edition. Sorry, but I don't have any current pics of the car with the badges installed.
