Default URGENT: Got Error light on dash and SCT found DTC Error code - Whats it mean?

Hi there

Whilst driving today I noticed an yellow/organe coloured warning light lit just below the rev counter, its on the far left and remains lit.

So I connected up my SCT2 whilst running which reported saying it had found one DTC error code which is P0133

What does this code mean as the car seems to drive fine.

Somebody please tell me whats wrong and how I fix it?

Hi there

I've just found out the code means this:-

"P0133 EGO Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 1 Sensor 1) "

I recently had LT Headers fitted so I take its because the sensor is further away from engine and hence taking longer to warm up and hence why the error code is showing?

Does this mean the sensor is fine and I just need my tune adjusting?

If I was to remove the CATs then I would no longer need these sensors anyway?

Is the engine been hindered in anyway when this error light is lit or is it just safe to clear the code using my SCT2 programmer and see if it re-appears?

Thanks

Andy

Gibbo, try clearing the code and see if it comes back.
If it does come back I'll check tomorrow with my computer tech and you can also source info related to this code on www.SCTflash.com
Go to the forum section.
