Already have the tuner, $350 for 39s, $200 for pump, $150 for tuning...looks like I'm still ahead.

I guess I should explain my comment a little better. You see I contacted JDM and specified what my mods were and then asked what it would cost to have a tune made specificaly for my situation. When they wrote back and told me that the only way to use their tune was to buy an extra $1000 worth of parts from them I was, to say the least, skeptical. What would you think?? Granted I am learning that some of these parts are necessary so I am doing what any good penny pincher would do....shopping around. I guess I'll get my answers tomorow. Anyways thanks for the lessons learned and keep em coming.

I would highly suggest autolite HT0 Sparkplugs which are 1 heat range colder. I wouldn't run without them.

HTOs are good, also Granatelli coil-on connectors are good, if not the whole pack... the pack is pricey though and probably not needed for your app at this point...

I got a deal on brand new Cobra (39#) injectors from www.karkraft.com now I only see 99-02 Cobra ones and think they're smaller, 24#s??

The 'hated store' www.rpmoutlet.com used to have a good deal too... think they're selling 42s which often are said 'are the same'...

Some injectors need adapters, some fit right in. Think the blue Cobra 39s fit right in... dunno of the green 42s...

The blue's are a perfect fit. Also, check ebay for the Cobra injector's or post in some of the SVT sections. Many of the Cobra guy's are running 60lber's that have replaced the 39's. That's where I found mine and he gave them to me for $50.00.

Ok well I took every ones advice and had 39#s put in as well as a Diablo MAFia and Boost a pump. I guess the peace of mind this will bring me will be well worth the cost. They also put in my LCAs, springs, and shocks. I'll be finished with her for a while now so I'll post some picks of the finished product. HEHEHE can't wait to go to the strip.

Ok well I just got a call from my new tuner and he told me that he did a pull in my car befor he changed anything out. Well to my surprise he got 340RWHP!!!!! After the other shop gave me a dyno sheet that read 406 RWHP. For all of you mustangers in Houston beware of Strictly Performance in south Houston. They are right off of College St. They have $hity service and as you can see are quite dishonest. The only reason I went to them was because they quoted me with 430RWHP with the OEM Saleen equipment. They also told me that after the blower
"breaks in" I should be at about 430 at the wheels. I need to find out if they are members of the BBB so I can complain.

Nope..340!!!!! I ended up at 375 at the wheels with 4#of boost. I already have the 8#er and a cold air intake in the mail and hopefully I can get the power I want after these two mods. I had a tunable induction CAI but it didn't fit under my hood after the blower was put in. I'll keep you guys posted and hopefully some of my mistakes are usefull to some one else.

Oh okay, 375 with 4 PSI on an auto is fair. With the pulley and intake you'll be in the low to mid 400s, and most importantly SAFE in reguards of fuel! AWESOME!!!

Yes, most CAIs are too high in the TB section to fit. I've seen one metallic CAI pressed and bent into fit but it was tight... I'll let Ti know and maybe he want to work on it....

Adam and I took the car to Ford and had it re-flash and everything was fine after that. Not to rain on your tuner, but a good tuner would had figured that out. Saleen locks their factory tune so that Diablo can not tap into it... WRONG!!!! My 05 mustang GT with a Saleen S/C is tuned with Diablo.
I will bet you $50 that you can tune your 05 mustang with the Saleen S/C with Diablo if you get it re-flash from Ford first.
[Edit, kj]
Let me/ us know if you re-flash your car from Ford and get the Diablo to work.
Dear MSgt46270,

I already purchased the SCT-2 and got a JDM tune for my setup...

I wish I had talked to you 6 months ago before this headache started. GOD, I could have saved $400.00 by not buying a new tuner and used my Diablo...

For now, my headaches have stopped and the car is running great with the help of JDM and the SCT-2 tuner...

I have a Diablo for "sale" if any of you guys who are planning to install a Saleen supercharger in the near future, just PM me!!!

Dave

Has your Diablo tuner unit been reset back to "factory" tune?

I love that last line. Yeah, when the blower "breaks in" your going to gain 90rwhp Out of curiosity, what kind of dyno was it??

Dear Stangcrosser,

Yes, back to the stock factory tune...

That's probably why the tuner could not break open the tuner file to tune my saleen... When he tried to tune it, the Diablo tuner had the stock factory tune on it, so it could not recognize the saleen tune as stock...

When I purchased the SCT-2, I loaded the Saleen tune as stock and sent it to JDM for tuning.. He did an amazing job!!!

The Diablo is set up for a Steeda CAI but Diablo can send a file that will convert it to any CAI system...
