Default Base tune affect Predator/SCT tunes?

If the parameters on a base/factory tune are some how changed and then you load a tune from a handheld does that affect the new tune. I guess what I'm asking is do the tuners (Predator/SCT) take the base tune and then modify accordingly or do they just load a brand new tune that takes none of the original parameters into consideration (is made specifically for a CAI). The reason why I'm asking is because I've been having problems with the throttle butterfly hence affecting my idle RPM's the car also sputters, almost as if gasping for air or gas when it's cold. As a matter a fact I have to hold the throttle for about five seconds to keep it from stalling. I took my car to the dealer, for an unrelated issue and they accidentally left the history of what has been done to the car. I noticed that they reflashed the computer once but I never restored the factory tune before taking it in. Would that be the cause of these problems. By the way I never had these problems untill I downloaded a revised version of the Predator.

I can't seem to see this thread about the Diablo. What required you to go back to older firmware?

I had the same problem with a predator tune. Some times the rpm will go up and down when the car is cold and idling. I think it also started when I updated to version 8 r08 the previous one had no problems. there is also another problem with it about the rpm not going down as it supposed to be when lifting your foot off the throttle. now I run a bamachips tune and everything is perfect
