Cobalt A/F Gauge...O2 sensor kit.. Ok I installed this gauge and hooked it up to the cars O2 sensor which I later found out that it is a wide band sensor. So my gauge is all over the place because it needs a narrow band sensor. Is any one running the O2 sensor kit from auto meter that complements the gauge and if so do you get some semi accurate readings? I know narrow band A/F gauges and sensors are not very accurate but currently my gauge keeps swinging all the way from blow up lean to spewing gas from my tail pipes rich. I wanted to know if the kit was worth it or if I should just save my money and wait to buy a wide band sensor.

I'm wondering why on earth you're worried about your A/F ratio with the mods you have listed unless you're getting things straight for a future power adder.
What are the numerical values that your meter is swinging from? Mine goes anywhere from low 14's to high 15's at idle, and this is normal. Once I nail the gas it drops down to mid 11's which is where it's tuned to get when I'm in the boost range.

Smaller pulley and cold air intake.....it pegs on both ends and it doesn't have a numerical read out...narrow band.

Get you a wide band sensor... it will help in the long run as you add on.

Narrow bands are nothing but ricer light shows. Get a real wide band gauge and you'll get usable data.

Totally agree. My AEM wideband is the reason I can safely run nitrous and safely change my tune. One of my best and most important mods.

How did you hook up your AEM wide band? What wiring or hook ups did you use?

Well, I connected the power wires to power and I connected the sensor wire to the sensor which installed in the exhaust in fron of the cats.

Sorry, I missed the S/C in your sig. Yeah a narrow band A/F ratio meter is worthless for the most part. The only way to get usable data and monitoring is from a wide band kit.
