Default FRPP camber bolt & alignment

Howdy,

I've just installed FRPP dampers and Eibach Pro Kit springs (more or less the same springs offered in the FRPP handling package) as of today.

As per the instructions on the FRPP site, I slotted the lower strut bolt hole to allow for (A) use of the supplied camber bolts and (B) some adjustability of camber to get the car back to stock specs. However, the alignmnet shop could not get my car into spec (-1.9º and -1.7º were what he could do).

To rememdy this, I bought camber adjustment bolts from Summit. My question is, should I put these bolts in the upper, non-slotted hole, or the lower, slotted hole?

Thanks in advance.

The instructions that came with my camber bolts said to put them into the upper hole. It worked, and I got the needed adustment.

For those of you who did your own spring change- how long did it take?

Did it require a spring compressor? Any other specialty tools? Thanks!

(I want to make sure I have everything I need before I get the springs)

did them myself with a buddy, took probably 3 hours while drinking beer and hunting for tools, was not rushing at all, yes you will need a spring compressor, and at least 2 jacks and 4 jack stands. air powered tools will help save time

When I did my complete FRPP suspension I did not use the FRPP bolts because they do not reduce camber the increase camber being as they are for the lower strut hole. I pulled the top of the shocks out as far as they could go before locking them down and when I went for the alignment I was within spec, 1.5 on each side... Toe was off by 1/16 and that was all that required adjustment...
