Question Lower control arms & subframe connectors

Okay guys, you all know I have a full suspension upgrade on my car, I have not yet upgraded the lower control arms. Before I spend the money to do so, would someone please explain to me what the lower control arms do and what is their purpose? Why are "upgraded" LCAs better than the stock ones?

Also, I have heard that convertibles will truly bennefit from subframe connectors. Again, what do subframe connectors do and what is their purpose? How do they improve the car, especially a vert? Where do they go?

LCAs help with traction and wheel hop..keeps the power to the ground. Subframes help with chasis stiffness, even with this chasis that is way stiffer than the previous mustangs, its still an unibody, on a vert since there is no roof, it will help. I have both those mods and I went with BRM, the subframes i have are the Boxed and the LCAs are the steel tubular with erethane bushings with braket relocators. They are great mods and you will feel the difference.

Stock LCAs are just a piece of stamped steel. Plus the rubber bushings flex a great deal. I went with BMR tubular control arms with poly bushings. Much, much stiffer.

I think sub frames are not really needed unless you are going to drag race your car a bunch. Steeda and others agree on that one. Verts are made stiffer as a rule over coupes to compensate. It was true the verts of the old fox bodies were just coupes with the roof's cutoff, but the SN 95's actually were verts on the assembly line, not modded during its run.

I agree on BMR LCA's, I got em, and for more bite, get the lowering brackets. I had to get them since I lowered my car, but I feel sure it would only make it bite more.
