Default Need some good luck.......

Let me first start off by saying either this car is cursed or I am. Hubby and I went to TN to pick up my 07 Mustang GT that they were holding for us (We live in WV - about 8 hours from Nashville, TN) so we pulled a car dolly all the way down there right. Salesman helped load it on the dolly and everything was hunky dory so we stopped to get gas, and the fender on the car dolly came back and poked two dents in the bottom of the drivers lower fender (area right underneath where GT is on the bottom). I was so freaking mad because I had a new car with 10 miles that now needed fixed. It now has around 650 miles. So we got that fixed at a car dealership here in our area a whopping $400.47 worth and you can't even tell.

So last Thursday I had just gotten it inspected, and thought I would just drive it down the road a little piece and turn around and come home and this vac truck went by me and it sounded like this truck blew up, but I didn't feel or hear anything hit the car but something told me to stop and check it out. I pulled over in a parking lot and looked and that truck threw something or something was sticking out and hit my drivers door clear down to the metal!!! and dented it a little. To look at it, it just looks like a scratch but it is slightly dented and the spot is around 3/4" long. I was just so sick because I got this car on August 4, and drove all the miles that it has on it from TN, because by wonderful state screwed up registration papers to transfer plates so this was the first day I had it out in like 2 weeks. So now it is going to cost me $318.32 to get my drivers door fixed. Someone send me some good luck!!!!!!

I just did the requisite "Guinness" toast in your honor. All should be right in the world now

That sucks but don't lose heart.

Slainte!

I am sorry for you bad luck, but just hope it all stops and you can enjoy your 07, and that is probably still the best color in my opinion!

Sounds like you're getting all the bad stuff out of the way right up front. Hope things improve!

Thanks guys. Dropped it off at the body shop yesterday evening so they can start working on it today. Hopefully I will get it back at the end of the week. I told them to take their time and I am in no hurry to get it back (I want it done right and to look good) because I have another vehicle to drive. I just hate someone else to work on or drive any of my vehicles. Don't have a lot of trust in people I guess.

I truly feel your pain on the not trusting others with your car. Awhile ago I had a big fiasco with a body mod (a ducktail spoiler in particular) and that took some of what trust I had in people away. Although I rarely am able to do work on my car myself 9lack of skills, tools, experience, etc), I am a bit anal, if my car is being worked on at some place, most of the time I stay there at the shop while the work is being done. Fortuantley for me I am a big reader, it makes for passing the time a bit easier, but at least I keep eyes on my car.
