It was tough coughing up the $$ for a second tuner, but I have had it with the Predator- nobody out there seems to be tuning with it anymore. Tell me I'm not stupid for doing this?

I started out with a Predator. Ended up selling it and getting a SCT.

Do you have the SCT tune on yours and the Predator on the wife's?
It would be a reasonable thing BUT she won't LET ME !!!
She has the extended warranty and after wrenching the last 4 new vehicles that I have owned down to no warrantied race-form SHE flat out told me to leave hers alone!
I try to avoid driving hers.... BUT I have to when mine is down -or rather "up" on jack stands!
I am glad we kept her Grand Am. She drives that in bad weather too.

No warranty?? Sounds like my car... So what do you do? Go back and forth between Predator and SCT tunes on yours?

I hope it's not stupid...I did the same thing. Predator is on ebay and my sct + C&L from BamaChips will be here tuesday.

When you say "Tuner Availbility", what do you mean? The quailty of the code? A better A/F mix?
I think he means availability of the person who writes the tunes (tuner person vs tuner device). As you add modifications and want to fine tune your custom tune, it becomes critical to have a responsive source who will work with you to create the result you want. DiabloSport is famous for abandoning their customers after the device is sold. That's why I sold my Predator and got an SCT. I still didn't know enough at the time to buy the device from one of the places listed on this board. However, I was able to get Doug at BamaChips to work with me, send me tunes by email, and eventually I got the tune that I wanted.

Yeah... What he said. You'll have more options out there with SCT than Predator.
