Right near the oil filter you'll see the factory sending unit with one gray wire coming out of it. What I did for my electric oil pressure gauge was remove that sending unit and ground the wire. Some people use a 'T' so the stock "gauge" will still show some semblance of functionality. Grounding the wire fools the computer, and I've been running mine that way for well over a year with no issues. The stock "gauge" is junk - period. Any way, if you're running a mechanical gauge, use braided stainless tubing, not the small capillary plastic tubing. The gauge will have an adapter that will thread into the block where the factory sending unit was, and it goes there. Then thread the braided line into the adapter, fish the line through the firewall and connect it to your gauge.
If you have an electric gauge, you might have enough room to put the new sending unit in the place where the stock one was. I did not, so I had to use a section of braided line to remote mount the sending unit. Then run wires to the gauge inside the car.
For an oil temp gauge, never done that so I can't help.
