No tune needed, but you need to have the ECU recalibrated for the new ratio.

May I suggest you give Doug at Bamachips a call on this question (205/302-0231). I'm no expert on these new car computers, but I would be willing to bet that there is some black magic in there that considers the car's speed in calculations. And from looking at the duplications in logging parameters, I would be concerned that a change in one place for the gears might not be enough to handle all the internal black-box calculations.

Having the change down right now. I have a 5 speed, dealer told me the pcm is going back to Saleen to be recalibrated if not the speedo will be off. I have 07 Gt with the optional 355 posi. I did not think such a small gear change would require a recalibration I guess I was wrong again.

Why would the PCM have to go back when the adjustment can be made in about 30 seconds with the SCT tuner? All you need to change is the gear ratio. There are no other adjustments.
