+1 om JDM MrV...wish I had went with them. Still might do their CAI and tune.
you can use your 62mm T/B and your C&L(?) CAI.
thats why I went with the Saleen over the Roush...plus from what I see the Saleen seems to be the favorite of the 2. I too didnt want to throw my JLT over in the corner...the JLT dosent fit as well as the C&L because its turn off the intake is sharper but Im with you as we dont have hood clearence issues
Im goin to start my install this weekend cant wait. I will do the Saleen tune then take my car and have the JLT installed and a dyno tune done.
here is a pic with the JLT attached. now the plenum cover I dont think will work.

There is a new Saleen Stage 3 (475 hp) sueprcharger on ebay going for $5800+/-. It appear the Saleen S/C is the best option for what I want, plus I am determined to make the custom plenum cover fit. I think the plenum cover is nice eye candy compared to a flat black Saleen supercharger. I grant, you do not buy a S/C for eye candy, but for power, but this is me we are talking about; let's face it, I like horsepower, but I like to look good while getting there.
For those of you that have a supercharger, in particular, the Saleen supercharger, is it a plausable application to utilize a cold air intake (CAI) with a supercharger?
Yup. Quite plausable

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing. But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Here is mine with JDM lowering prothane motor mounts no problems with clearance on stock hood. Just make sure your car is tuned for it. JDM can hook you up there as well.

I would NOT buy the Saleen 475hp upgrade kit. That is a 475 hp at the crank kit. It must have the PCM sent to Saleen to be flashed and it will only work with Saleens intake since the flash is calibrated to the 98mm intake tube.
If you purchase from JDM you will recieve all the items mentioned below.
You will also be running the best tunes in the business.
If your car is an auto it's all the more reason to call JDM because from what I hear their auto tunes are amazing. Mine is a 5 speed and I have no regrets.
There are specials going on at the present time so call Jim Jr.
Add a set of longtube headers and a 3.2" pulley and you're near 500 rwhp. Not one motor has been lost to a Saleen running JDM tunes with now over 500 upgrade kits sold.

I will have to call JDM. Especially since I already have an SCT XCal2 tuner, a K&N CAI (wich is a 90mm MAF), so I would like to see if they can make me a good deal.
Yea, im sure they will make you a nice deal. The deal is free shipping. Thats like $200 in savings. I dont know if they will go much lower on the S/C itself though. Thats where I will be getting mine from when i get one......Who are you going to have install the S/C mrv?
For those of you that have a supercharger, in particular, the Saleen supercharger, is it a plausable application to utilize a cold air intake (CAI) with a supercharger? I was just looking at the Saleen supercharger with 475 hp upgrade kit, and noticed that it utilizes something similar to the stock air box. If I used a CAI (K&N, C&L, etc) would I retard performance or increase performance of the supercharger, or see no noticeable change in performance/efficiency?
Also, does the Saleen supercharger (or Rousch or any supercharger) come with a new throttle body? If I have a 62mm throttle body now, could I use that with a Slaeen supercharger (or other supercharger)?
Here is a real stupid question, but here goes anyways...with a Saleen supercharger, is it possible to utilize the custom intake cover (whether with modification to the cover or not)?
Fortunately you have a very easy fix if you want to use cai with series VI s/c. Call the guys at teamjdm they sell a CAI system thet simply replaces the airbox with the SCT 90mm MAF and a nice CAI filter.
Getting the OEm snorkel over the SCT sleeve is the only time consuming issue. A little patience, hot water and elbow grease and whoop, there it is.
