Default Pypes Off Road H-Pipe

I was going to get there off road x but the more sound clips I listen to, the more I like the lower tone of the H pipe. My only concern is how bad is the resonance from this H pipe. Ive heard it can be bad but I see so many people with the setup.

I think a chambered muffler like the Flowmaster will sound better with an H. I honestly think resonance from my X is far worse than when I was running an H.

Thanks. Yeah SLTWagon, I heard the flows with an O/R H and fell in love with it. It's just the sound Im looking for. I Like the sound of the X I just prefer the depper tone of the H. I would love to hear some other opinions though. Keep em coming!

I was running the Flowmasters with the Pypes Off Road H Pipe for quite a while. I ended up going through 3 sets of Flows before I got tires of them going bad on me.

I ended up getting the FRPP Stingers.

The Flows sounded great when paired up with the O/R H, but the Stingers definitely have more bite!

Were the baffles breaking loose? I'd heard that they had some weld issues with some of their production runs.

Yep. They had told me that it was only on the earlier models, but every set they gave me had the same problem. I just got fed up and switched!

I still love the sound of the Flows, but it wasn't worth having to replace them every few thousand miles.

Its just the opposite around here! Everyone is running X's. What really turned me off is my good friend has a black 06 and is about to put an O/R X on it. I cant have the same set up.

If I could find an O/R H to fit my long tubes, I would do it. I've even toyed with having one fabricated.

Give it time. Im sure someone will come out with it. Though Im sure you could probably have one fabricated.

There are a few custom exhaust shops around here and I talked to one guy who could bend me one out of T-304. I just wish SLP offered one off the shelf.

I bet if enough people requested it, they might think about offering one. I've seen it happen before.

Maybe... I just don't get the hype over x-pipes. Sure they can churn out a couple extra horses but it changes the sound so much.
