If I have to give advice now I would say don has the best set-up hands down and would recommend it. Not brown nosing but I wish now I would have dialed in my car for 11.49 and it would have been much more fun.

I really regret doing the cage and losing my DD ability. Though the car is 'street legal' I would never call it a DD and is a regret I have. Better to take an 'oldie but goodie' and build a race car but keep the S197 as a fast and fun street machine IMHO.

I have a boost and FP guage. I glance at them before really getting on it, like when rolling up to the water box and a quick glance during the burnout... or when I hear the rice cans on the highway...

Don; Nice car!! Great to see someone is worse than me... You need some more fuel delivery upgrades and the up the boost!!

CK; That's why I went CF with the Vortech... did it 'my way' and the car can be driven 'like stock' and I know I always have mid 500s to the rears... fun fun!!

Thanks kj! :

Actually, I'm in no hurry to up the boost. At 12psi, I already run quicker than the roll cage rules allow (i.e., 7.49 in the 1/8, and 11.49 in the 1/4). At 12psi, it will run consistent 7.2's and a few 7.1's. One local track has already warned me about going too quick, so when I go there I have to de-pulley (is that a word??) to 10psi. At 10psi, it will usually run 7.50s, but has gone as quick as 7.35.

Someday I'll put a cage in, but as CK mentioned above, this is my daily driver and I'm not ready for a cage yet. And besides, I want to run the full Summit Series this year, and since consistency is the key in bracket racing, I want to try to keep the same setup all season.

If and when I am ready to go balls to the wall with the motor, I will have to get together with you guys.

Kyle, you will need a good fuel press gauge, I use the Autometer electric gauges & although pricey. They work great, you will also need a fuel rail adaptor because the frp sensor is different on the '05+,these run about $50 *I think*.You will need a vac/boost gauge,a mechanical one will work just fine here & a GOOD a/f meter is a great add-on gauge *DO NOT* get one of the Autometers w/h the moving lights they are nothing more than eye candy.Innovate,Dynojet & the new NTK AFX was HIGHLY recommended by the instructor of the advanced tuning class I just attended at the PRI show in Orlando. He is an EFI calibrator by profession for the OEM's & although it looks kinda cheap he says it's an exceptional wideband for the price.

Me too am happy at 14 PSI. The motor was built for and we planned high teens but we 'lost' so much into the heads and dished pistons we ended up at 14... can easily take another +100 RWHP out of her... but am plenty happy with what I have... that she drives so nice at low rpm i AMAZING!!

My FP sensor is one of a kind, drilled into and welded onto the fuel rail...
Kyle if you need an adapter send me a PM, have a couple lying around...
