It appears that the 07 cooling system has been updated compared to the 05-06 cars. My 07 only has one hose coming off of the coolant crossover that goes between the heads. I have one hose coming off of the drivers side and the thermostat has been relocated from the 05-06 location in the hose junction up to the coolant crossover between the heads. I have searched arround on google for some pics of how the 05-06 cars ran their hoses and which direction the coolant is circulated, but I can get a clear picture of what the setup is.
On the 05-06 cars there are two hoses coming off of the coolant crossover one either side of the alternator. Where do they go? I would assume one goes to the upper inlet of the radiator???? Where does the other one go? Do they join?
On the 07 the water pump is feeding the system into the RH side of the crossover. Where does it do it on the 05-06 models.
Can someone snap a pic of the hoses and the routing on their 05-06 for me to take a look at? Maybe a shot taken from the side of the car looking across the motor to see where each hose goes and how the system is working?
I have my car apart right now and I am moving the pressurized overflow tank and re-routing some of the coolant lines and replacing them with silicone hose. I wanted an idea of how the older system was set up just as a reference.
If I had a 05-06 to pop the hood on this would be easy, but I don't know anyone who has one by me for me to take a gander at.
thanks!
