I disconnected my battery today and when I reconnected it there was a short blast from the horn. I didn't think anything about it and went on with what I was doing. My son was standing by the car when I got in and he asked me "what's that flashing light", I said where? He said "under the dash", I leaned over to see what he was talking about and this little light is making t flashes about every 2 seconds. I hooked my preditor and there were no trouble codes. The light is on a very small squre oplast part that has something like a little reset button on the end opposite the light. Anyone have any ideas????????
I did push it, but it didn't change anything. The alarm that I have is the ford provided alarm, its the one that if the vehicle is moved or bumped with a bit of force it will go off
We should have asked, did the car start? I know some times when I set my alarm on my truck off I have to turn the key on and then off to get the red alarm lite off.

Hey I wounder if it that recorder that cars have in them and indicates some kind of problem or that the owner has either disconnected the batt. Just a shot in the dark.

I wonder how many of us have the same aftermarket system? I have the same thing; couldn't mess with it to customize my car like some of you guys did, with that long thread about the alarm and the reset button...

UpDate!!!! the alarm was not aftermarket but part of the "Active Anti-Theft" alarm. right now it is in "valet" mode which means that if you don't know to push the button, even with the key the car will not even turn over..........I kind of like that living here in dallas. I will have to take it in to have it reset, that would mean the CAI would have to come off, and backup tune reinstalled. I don't want to do that because just tonight I go that ***** screamin after geeting the "Airaide tune" from Diablo
