Very nice... Wish I'd have done the stage 3s. Mine sound like crap compared to yours.

So what are we talking about in terms of ballpark cost for cams and install? That sound is pure old school and just sounds awesome. I bet it will make a few people think twice about racing sitting at a light next to you.

Nice job...

Cost me ~$1500 P&L, but I didn't do new springs/retainers.

Cool. I've never reallly considered cams in the past but that's something else to add to the "when money allows and I don't have anything better to spend it on" list.

Thanks for the ballpark...

For the approx 30-35 rhwp gain, I can't complain.

i live in western suffolk county and am usually running the car up on DPA (route 231)

ballpark this whole job cost alot of money

cams 600
springs 230
Ti retainers 360

all from RPM outlet, which alot of people hate but i had no problem

Tools for the install

3v spring compressor 250
chain wedge 50
16mm compressed air hose adapter 50

add taxes and shipping and you are talking 1800

i did this install with my pops and it took us two full, and i mean full days. this job is not for the average person who swaps a cold air intake or does some pulleys, this is a tedious job and you have to know what you are doing.

i have to thank the guys at brenspeed for faxing me over some pages of instructions to make the install a little smoother

I'm sure you could offload the tools in the AFM classifieds since I doubt you'll be upgrading to stage IV anytime soon

I watched the other video as well. Did you hit the rev limiter in second? IF so were the tires spinning? Pretty impressive. Sounds GREAT!

Well you described my mechanical abilities to a tee. I can turn a wrench and have a lot of nice tools but I wouldn't try this myself. I'm just trying to put a plan with some actual thought behind it into my future mods. I really think I will consider this as an additional mod once I get started with the basic stuff. I have a lot of good shops around here to work with concerning the install so I figured I'd be working that figure into my plan. Obviously the performance is there with this mod but man... you just get shivers listening to the "rumpety rump".

Awesome.

Thanks for the info.

mustangaretuff

you called it, i bounced off the rev limiter because i cant stick that thing to the ground even with those MT's heated up. Im going to make some new videos soon of some street runs/races, burnouts, idle, dyno tunes and then when the tracks open some 1/4 mile passes

STL

selling those tools on the boards is a good idea..... the only way i would use them again is if they come out with Stage V or VI
