Question

I have the 07 Plenum cover, and iam looking to add a strut tower brace to my set up. I know that only some tower braces will fit over certain cover. Does anyone know which combo will work?

I know the (strange) brace will fit my cover. Iam looking for other suggestions.

Default Look at the BMR Website

BMR Fabrication lists a Strut Tower Brace - Part #STB011 that says it fits 2005 + mustangs with the plenum cover.

here is the link:

Here is the photo courtesy of BMR.

Hope this helps.

The Stange Devlopment strut tower brace does indeed fit, plus it comes in polished, so you can have eye candy as well as structural support.

I installed the BMR STB009 back in early 2005 and its been fine other then when the plenum cover was installed. I had to modify the brace to fit the cover.

Here is a link I did back in Sept, of 2005.

Does anyone know of a strut tower brace that will fit around a CDC shaker scoop? I was thinking that the BMR brace might fit if I cut the smaller bar out.

I have a 2008 Bullitt brace that clears the cover with no problem.

I have the BBK strut tower brace and it just clears the Midwest Auto cover. I think the Midwest cover is slightly taller than the Ford cover.
The BBK only fits '05-'06 mustangs that have the tabs on the strut towers. One thing I do know is that as the engine temperature increases, the cover expands just enough to touch the brace. Normally, I can see a clearance.

By the way, as a matter of trivia, those original tabs on the strut towers were for an export brace Ford was planning on adding to the engine bay, like the ones in the early Mustangs which ran from the strut towers to the firewall. I happened to see a picture of an early S197 concept vehicle engine bay which had the braces in place.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.

I don't think the BMR would fit either without significant mods to the rear of the shaker.

Yeah, the darned air tube is in the way. I'm thinking about fabricating one.
