adjusting the stops until you can't pick up the front of the hood does nothing. The stops on mine are so tight you almost have to slam the hood to get it to close. At speed (like 110) the CORNERS flex up until you could slide your hand between the fender and the hood. If you pull up at the center of the hood, it's rock solid. If pull up at the corners you can flex them up. You have to pull hard, and it scares me that it generates that much force. I'd bet it's over 40 lbs at each corner.

Question 2007 GT Hood Shake or Flutter Issue

My car was in an accident and the hood was replaced. Pre-accident, the hood NEVER fluttered or shook. The body shop put a new, OEM hood on it, and now the the hood flutters, even at 60 mph. I am looking for more feedback from others about what has been done to stop the hood flutter. Does the Cobra hood flutter as well? I know this is an old thread, but I would like to bring the conversation back to life to hear what others have to say.

I noticed my hood start to flutter at over 100 mph, thats enough reason for me to get hood pins, installed them this weekend, it wasnt that bad, you just have to take it slow and have a good drill & bits.

You dont want to end up like this guy, it happens quick, so dont blink AND this is a race car.
