Last night the car quit running on the freeway. Pulled to the side, and it wouldn't start. Seemed like no fuel. Finally after cooling down it ran again and got home. Plugged in the predator, and got two codes. One said fuel pump driver problem, or something along those lines. The other referred to fuel rail pressure problems. The car was tuned with the diablo sport 91 octane tune, and has the K&N CAI which K&N and diablo sport tech support both say doesn't need a special mixture adjustment, that the mixture will stay like the stock airbox gives. Diablo sport tech support says it sounds like it may need dealer service, and that this is not related to the tune. It kind of sounds like some sort of fuel pump issue. The car has 23k on it. Any thoughts on this? Also, since the cars computer keeps track of when the last tune was installed, won't they know it has been modified, and is this likely to cause issues with the warranty, even if I were to restore the stock tune and put the stock airbox on? Thanks.

I called D/S and personally spoke to a tech. I asked him specifically if there was any kind of "foot print" left when going back to a stock tune. His reply was that "it does not leave any kind of foot print".
I hope that he is not b s ing me. IF any techs that know whether or not what the true fact is, please by all means chime in and let us know what the true facts are.
If you put the stock tune back in they will not be able to tell. And even if they could (Which they Can't) most techs would probably be too lazy to check anyway.

"Been a tech for Ford for last 14 years.
As long as the tune itself doesn't leave a code, there is no way we can tell if its been changed.
Resetting, over rev, and speed limit reached are stored, but can be erased just by disconnecting the battery for 5-10 mins. If asked why the battery was disconnected just say you left the dome light on, and had to get the battery recharged. We can't prove otherwise."
first of all we aiint lazy...and like ski said it wont leave any trace pcm being tune with aftermarket tune. and yeah that is a good idead about the battery...
