I have the Raptor shift light installed with factory tach Works well and install was pretty simple. It uses three wires: power, ground and signal(attaches to one coil wire.) The hardest part was getting the cable through the firewall. There is a rubber boot on the drivers side floor where I pushed mine through. See their website at:http://raptorperformance.com/

+1 on the raptor.
I had it mounted inside my center vent.
Once I bought the SOS pillarpod with the raptor claw It went to its new home.

I personally run the Raptor as well as most of my customers. Small, Easy to install and easy to hide.

I did not know you could get just a light this is wonderful. I know it is just me but looking at the tack is a pain in the a$$ the steering wheel is in the way and when I am putting the pedal down the tach is the last thing I am looking for. I know I am old but I am not kidding you are holding own for all your worth.

The raptor is small like a pen and has 2 white knobs to set shift points. the greatest thing yet for shift lights. No Tach to worry about and no Tach adaptors, Just tap into a coil pack, run a ground and a power and you're done.

Yeah, noticed that in the sig. Track accident or street accident?

I keep looking at the Raptor, but I wish it was even less visible. I actually drew up a schematic for one that is similar, but uses a remote module you can tuck into the dash and a button-sized LED array. Theoretically, with the brightness of some of the new LEDs, a single LED could provide the same light as several older ones. Talk about easy to hide!

Now, I just need a chip burner and I'm a millionaire!

Does SOS make a 3 gage pod with a raptor holder?

You can probably take the 'pen' apart and separate the parts... I did that with a radar detector back where they were illegal... sensor on the mirror and then extended all the wires for the rest under the dash with the screen 'hidden' under the stereo added an on/off switch for quick access too... with it all off nobody could find it nor know about it... pretty easy job...

On the shift lights, what if I wanna shift sooner 1-2 and 2-3? Maybe even 3-4 now with the gear?

Hi DynoJoe, you mention easy to hide... does it attracts cops attention or it just for the sleeper effect...
Been thinking/needing one and for some reasons I would think that it might attract cops attention?
Cheers
