Do you want to see the original hi resolution version? This is a large file, so right click-save as, or give it plenty of time to load. And crank of the volume for the full effect.: Open Headers (50MB file)
One word, LOUD!!! I thought I was a troublemaker with my LM's. I was wrong. What part of SD are you in? I'll keep an eye out for the 'BAD05GT' when I'm crusing down the 8.

Nice install on the cutouts and good pics. It only takes 2 sec. for the actuators to open them up?

Driving on the road with open headers is just asking for trouble.

Hey Don,

Those cut-outs are located just after your headers, right? Are cut-outs always situated in that location (i.e., before the cats & mid-pipe)?

Hey Don, are those QTP cutouts? I was thinking of getting some of those when I get my headers. Is that the toggle switch that came with them? I was thinking of putting my switch inside the console, but how hard was it installing it there on the dash?

Hey Moses, not everybody installs them right behind the headers...here is a shot of some installed right in front of the rear axle.

I run Magnaflow mufflers, so when the cutouts are closed, it's very discrete.

Yes, about 2 seconds.

I wanted them as close to the headers as possible, but interference from the frame rails and other things necessitated putting them where I did... which is on the back side of the X-pipe.

I got them at Jegs, P/N 815-EC250D, http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...0002_757985_-1

The switch (and all the wiring) came with them. The only hard part about putting them where I did was cutting out a rectangular hole. I cut it undersized, and then used a small file to get a clean fit. I did remove that part of the dash so I could do the cutting/fitting on my bench.

Thanks for the answers. LOL! Just when I thought I already blew enough cash on my exhaust, I run into this. Those are real nifty! I love the dash-mounted switch!

I assume you get better performance as well. Is it necessary to tune after a goodie like this?
