Default 06 GT Vert Hood Lift Kit - Need Specs !

Does anyone have the specs on the lift supports used in the hood kits ? Specifically I'm looking for the center to center length of the lift support, and if possible the force (lbs.). And if the ends use eyelets or ball sockets. What kind of brackets are used ? Anyone have any pics?

Depends on which Hood Struts you are talking about -- Here are some URL's for them:

I have the Redlines and was told to get the small ones by them. They do have the larger ones that I'm afraid I may be needing now with a heavier hood... I hope not!! And they told me that even with a stock hood and a scoop it would be enough with the smaller ones...

I was also supriced on how 'flimsie' they're... not too hot looking brackets and they attach with ribbets...?? Not too hot looking... but I like them much better than stock!!

Thanks for the links & the input. I don't want to pay $100 for any kit, as I have access to the universal lift supports from a reputable US based manufacturer. I will have to machine my own brackets, but I'm looking for the overall length of the lift support itself open & closed, if anyone can take that measurement for me, I would appreciate. I already have a boat that $100 dollars me to death on this & that.

That's a GOOD idea as those brackets are junk and even I (white collar dude) could do better with parts from Home Depot!!

If you don't get a messurment before I'll get you one Friday when I get back from this work trip...
