Yea, but I would not feel "good" about that. Ebay would have been my route. Then I would feel like I am screwing over a friend... there its just an open market.

So Summit is out of Stock and the Local Dealer can't order them... 5 miniutes on the web + one phone call =
I'm seriously about to start hitting the panic button. I'll try my best to be patient with Summitt until the last week of the month when my plates are due to ship. By then, there won't be anymore at this price and I'll have to shell out the x-tra $200 for the Steeda plates. That will suck if I have to do that.

See you went about that all backwards... Do the 5 minutes on the web and then call summitjegs... They're good for "generic" go fast parts, but for mustang specific stuff like this - there is almost always someone who has more stock and/or is cheaper...

Has any body started a discussion on tuning for these? I know there's been some issues...
~Moses
Yup, if you do a search for CMCV you will find a few. I think all of the tuning issues have been worked out now.
I got mine from Piedmont Modular Performance, I talked ot Josh... when I ordered mine they had 9 sets left, and the 05BlackBeauty ordered his from there I believe... which would leave them with at most 8. That is if someone else didn't see my Thread.
Definately order them now! THey are cheap, beneficial, and you could leave them on your shelf until you are ready to get a true custom tune if you are worried about canned tunes.

Jegs is getting a shipment in today as a matter of fact. I ordered mine over a month ago. Finally called them Tuesday and they said today is the day. I should get them sometime middle of next week.

As of yesterday, PMP no longer had them on their website. I think they sold out as soon as you posted their name a couple of days ago.
We will have an economy version available for $129 with the stock port size.
The Steeda plates are .075 larger diameter and flow much better and have the ability to be tapped for a direct port system later.

You may want to call your contact at Jegs back and tear him a new one. I just called them and they told me they've only gotten a handful in since the release and have been out of stock since with
NO ETA from Ford.

I am going to make a nice write up on the install. This type of part is what my machining lines make. I am already less than impressed with the FRPP casting/Machining, but I haven't seen the stockers yet.
I would expect that Ford would make them match the Factory intake manifold, but the ports interior walls were as Cast!... WTF man WTF. I will probably polish them up with some fine grit sand paper before instal. Plus I see no reason why a person couldn't take the time to Drill and Tap these FRPP units. I would just want to have a Drill press.
I guess I should say that My comapny Designs, Cast, machines, and assembles driveline parts for Toyota, Ford, GM, Honda, Nissan... etc. So as soon as I can get a good look at the finish product, I will let you know exactly how these come about. I have a feeling they are just unfinished and lacking a few features. So, I don't see how Ford can be in a violation of any kind of Patent when they make the original units.
