Default 2007 GT: 375 rear wheel horsepower without supercharger, turbo, nitrous, or cams?

How realistic is it to think I could get my '07 GT to push out 375hp at the rear wheels without supercharger/turbo/cams? I was thinking of maxing out on the CAI
tuner
UDP
headers
high flow cats
exhaust
throttle body
etc. ...
Am I a newbie moron???

Not going to get 375 out of that. I'm at 347 with what you have listed plus a few other goodies. You'd really need PnP heads and some decent cams to come close to 375.

Ok first off you have one of the baddest looking stangs ive seen yet. Prokit?

Now first you have the wrong intake if you are going to do this. you need a c&l or a jlt. then you need custom tune, udp, steeda cmrc, ford gt500 trottle body(if any throttle body) LT's, off road x, serious cams, p&p heads, driveshaft, electrice water pump.

Im sure i forgot atleast 2 things

Anything's possible, but I would say slapping a blower on it would be the cheaper route to go. 375 is a large number even with cams and heads.

I don't think your going to get it with out ported heads and cams. A S/C would be cheaper and get you where you want to be no problem.

Yeah, but there's just something about doing it naturally aspirated. I do agree that it's a lot to ask from this motor without some type of power adder.

In your case since it is a Late model Modular car I would install nitrous since you will not need the additional 100hp that often and it can be removed easy for warranty repairs.

Yea that is a lot of power to get out of a NA 4.6L remember that’s only 281cubes.

FRPP does have some nice 3V heads out and if you do the heads and cams and what not it’s not like it’s going to waste if you have to give it a 50hp shot of juice.

Those FRPP heads are wicked expensive. There are less expensive head options out there.

I'm sure its possible (barely), but you're going to spend a ton of money on the heads, cams, etc. Might as well just spend the money on a supercharger and you'll have more options, not to mention more power!

thanks for the kind words!! i've got the steeda sport springs and pro action shocks, and steeda balljoints, and endlinks and BMR Aarms and an adjustable front swaybar. i was trying to get rid of my front suspension clunking noise but it didn't completely work. anyways. . .

i know my intake isn't the best one. i think i'll go with the c&l racer and an sct tune. cmrc?? are these delete plates? didn't know that a gt500 throttle body would fit on this car. cool!

EXTREMELY good point. And probably one of the cheapest bangs for the buck.

I don't get it. Many folks say dollar for dollar that an s/c is the cheapest way to get more power. But at all the places I've looked, with labor for the install and the parts I'm looking at AT LEAST 4 grand, and if I want the only "warrantied" one, I've got to go with Roush, wich will run me like $6500 when all is said and done. I've seen a kit on ebay from muscle motors performance for about $2k without maf, injectors, tune and fuel pump. I could install it myself, but I'd rather at least have a mentor to guide me through it. But the point is to try and keep the powertrain warranty [for what it's worth]. Does this make sense?

What am I missing here?????

IF you do enough mods to get to 375 N/A you will have voided your powertrain warranty anyway.

Even with Cams, the Racer INtake, under drive, delete plates, and a 93 tune with long tube headers and full exhaust you will fall shy of 350 at the wheels. That is with Stage 3 Cams!

You are looking at minimum a Heads/Cam package with all of the other bolt ons to get there. At that point, with install cost you will be way past $4500. A good set of Long Tubes and X or H-pipe is going to run you into the thousands. Custom tune and intake is goign to be over $500, Throttle Body is $250. UDP's are $200, Delete plates from Steeda are $300.
That, in parts alone is near $2500 and I hope you are installing it yourself.
Then the Cams/Lifter package is another $1000
Follow that up with the $1300/side FRPP heads

Parts cost..... near 6K and you are probably going to be crossing your fingers and hoping for 375hp to the wheels.

Plus the installs say another 2K because some of those items are very time consuming
$8K total cost

Go Supercharger.

I haven't yet because I am building in stages, but one day I will. Hopefully by then I will have a heads/cam car witht he long tubes and be able to fully exploit the blower... and I am sure I will be needing a forged rotating assembly.

Kyle, hey that makes more sense the way you put it. I do already have BBK shorty headers [i know i know, they're not long tube], bassani catted x and MAC mufflers. Not that those things add too much other than the nice sound, which was the point anyways. I think whatever I can get without opening up the motor will probably do me just fine. At this point it's all on paper anyways since I haven't done ANY HPDE/Open Track events or Autocrossing. Those are my goals, not to go fast in a straight line anyways. Guess I could have said that in the beginning, huh?! Oh well. . . thanks!!!
