2005 Mustang GT. Broke a quick connect fuel line fitting Was changing my fuel filter yesterday when I broke one of the little green retaining clips on the quick connect fitting from the rear fuel line to the filter. Am I going to have to replace that entire piece of fuel line (since the fitting is integrated into it) or can I just get a new retaining clip? I would hate to have to replace the entire line for a $.02 piece of plastic.

Figured it out... NAPA carries replacement fuel filter installation clips for a couple of bucks. Sure beats the $179 I was going to have to pay for a new rear fuel line!

Done... Gas in the old filter looked like Coca-Cola. Noticed an immediate improvement.

Where did you get the filter? I can't find anyone who has them in stock in this area. Looks like an internet purchase.
How much gas did you spill? Any tips? (Besides not breaking the green clip)

NAPA has them. Not much gas. I had let the car sit overnight so the fuel pressure had was relieved.

How many miles do you have? Did you base your change of filter off of mileage or something else?

33k miles. I've always changed gas filters at about 30k.

I found one today, at NAPA, their last one. If yours looked lik Coca Cola I'm expecting mine to look like Guinness and black coffee.
