Question 2006 Mustang GT Kenne Bell Supercharger Install Question

I have a question that I've been tearing my hair out trying to figure out myself. I'm about to put the supercharger on top of the new intake manifold. There's a small brass fitting on the front of the passenger side manifold that you're supposed to attach a vacuum hose (7/32" X 39") and then route it behind the engine over to the driver side (step 268, page 150). Problem is, the only 7/32" X 39" hose I have in the kit is "teed" off about a foot or so down the hose with another short section of hose off the tee. The instructions don't mention anything about this tee. The other 7/32" section of hose I have is about a foot long with a small tee on the end. I'm not sure where this is supposed to go at all! I am so confused, because even when I jump ahead in the instructions to see where these hoses are supposed to go, the number of vacuum connections don't match up to the number of hoses and tees.

I assume the KB tech help line will be closed tomorrow. So you guys are my only help here! I'm ALMOST DONE!! But I have to solve this issue before I can finish. I've read and re-read the instructions over and over hoping they'll start to make sense. Not.

Any help would be tremendously appreciated!!!

Tony

Step 385 in the book. Is that what you mean?

The 39 inch hose comes around the back of the SC then it ultimately routes to the fuel rail pressure sensor and the bypass valve actuator and the BAP actuator. They are all fed by the 39 inch hose. The BAP hose is spliced in later.

No...step 286. I looked at 385 and saw that another tee is used for the BAP. Maybe if I just keep going ahead it'll all start to make sense after the BAP hose is used?

Thanks,

Tony

I had this same issue last week when I pulled all of my stuff off (that my buddy hooked up) and couldn't figure out what went where. One of the guys on this board helped me out with it. It's screwey indeed, the instructions don't make much sense. This is what you want to do. Forget about hose lengths, T's, etc for a moment and just imagine what you need to acomplish. Then you can run hose, cut hose, place T's in line , etc till you get what you want.

You want to run a line from the brass fitting in the top of the intake around the back of the SC. You then need to split that line by whichever means you find the cleanest so that one single line from the manifold splits and has individual lines going to the:

FRP sensor located on the fuel rail

The bypass valve located on the drivers rear of blower

The Boost a pump switch located between the shock tower and the fire wall.

When I put mine in I just went step by step and made sure I did each one. In the end it all worked out perfectly. I'm sure it will for you, too.
