Question 2006 Mustang GT: How much horsepower with my combo?

How much with the items in my signature? I have a dyno but I want to know if I should be or if this is about right. This has been bugging me for a while now. I will tell you this much my stock dyno 87 octane with slp axleback was 272 rwhp 301 tq.

I will go ahead and put my guess out there....

290-295hp at the wheels.

you don't mention what octane tune you are running.

It might be pushing 300 on a 93 octane tune.

I am running a 93 octane tune. Any other educated guesses?

He knows the #'s but thinks they are low and wants us to confirm that for him

On 93 octane with your mods you should be somewhere in the midst of 290-300 obviously depending on the conditions at the time of the pulls and your elevation.

Remember, use the dyno to measure that your cars tune is accurate and safe... Use the track to see if your car is fast

I had canned tunes from doug @ bamachips in the beginning. Both 93 perf and 93 race were run on the dyno no difference. 286 rwhp 295 tq. The base and subsequent pulls were done on similar weather days and the same dyno. I was a little upset and aggravated to say the least. I was only getting 14 hp out of all the money and work I just forked out !! I decided that just wasn't enough so I went and had the custom tune done. 294 rwhp 312 tq was the final number and it still looks low to me. Then I read someones post that proclaimed they got 296 rwhp from one of doug's tunes and all they had was a CAI. What I spent all this money and I could have the same power gain just with a CAI?
Were my expectations of 305-310 way off? 10 hp might not seem like a whole lot but at this rate I should've stayed with my 5.0.

Did you have the car dyno'd stock to determine you were at 272 rwhp?

Yes. But I did have SLP LM's on when I did it. Could that have been 5-7 extra at the wheels?

SLP claims about a 5 rwhp gain from the LMs.

272 rwhp is at the upper end of the spectrum. I've seen these cars dyno from the high 230s to the high 270s stock. Quite a variation.

279 rwhp stock is not the norm for these cars. Most start off in the low-mid 260s.
