Default I need help finding 2005+ Mustang GT 5.4 liter stroker kit

I have had my 2007 GT for almost a year now and I think its time to increase the displacement. I want to do a stroker but bigger than a 5.0l. I have seen 5.0l strokers for 2005+ but nothing about a 5.4l kit. Would it be possible to use the crankshaft and piston arms from a GT500 in a 2007 GT? or is there any stroker kits out there that i am just not seeing?

The GT500 crank and rods will not fit the 4.6 block, you need the 5.4 block. It's about 2 inches taller than the 4.6. You can go up to a 5.1 kit with the 4.6 if cubes are what you want from CHP.

5.2 is the biggest you can get your 4.6 to, and youll have to sleeve the cylinders to do it. you can get the kit from Sean Hyland Motorsports for about $2,800. the power difference between 5.4 and 5.2 will be very small...its only about 5 to 6 cubes more for a 5.4. machine shop work will cost you about another 2k or so. its the easiest and most cost effective way to get a bigger engine in your car that i have found. biggest problem i think youll have is getting a tune to run the bigger displacement, youll probably have to get a dynotune.

Default thanks

I always thought the GT500 block was the same just cast iron instead of aluminum, good thing i asked. I was looking at that sean hyland 5.2l kit too but i wasnt sure if that was the biggest i could go, thanks alot!

I would since I read in MMFF that you gotta pull the engine to get to the heads anyway.

check out www.modularmustangracing.com

They have what you want for your car. SHL uses probe pistons and from what I heard those are junk. MMR holds the records for the fastest modular mustang around they are only beating there own records.

SHM uses Manley forged pistons. http://www.seanhylandmotorsport.com/...semblies.shtml
