Default Bama Chip 91 Performance Question

I just installed the Bama Chips SCT 91 Performance tune on my 06 GT. I thought that I had ordered an 87 alternative, but I received a 91 Performance, 91 Torque and 91 Race. My question is, I have about a half tank of 87 grade fuel in the car. Will running the 91 tune harm it until I'm ready to fill up?

Probably not as long as you don't "drive it like you stole it". If you have a place to get 93 octane, wouldn't hurt to fill 'er up with that and then put in the 91 at the next fill.

Yeah just take it easy to avoid any detonation. You should certainly top it off with premium now.

I had the same problem when I got my SCT from doug. The math works out if you get to 1/4 tank or less of 87, then fill the remaining 3/4 tank with 93. That gets you just above 91 octane for the mix. Be prepared to really enjoy the tunes! My favorite for most applications is the 91 torque.
