We need to race against each other next time---I want to see how much you beat me by. Then I want to race Don W. I think this Thursday at Irwindale a really good race would be you vs Don W. That would be a good race for sure.

Yep - I'm hoping all 3 of us get to race each other. Should this week.

I'm wishing Don the best of luck and I know he is going to make more power but now he has to factor in that darn cage.

Heck, his chromoly is a little lighter than mine but mine added almost 300 lbs to the car!!

He's going to need the aggressive tune just to offset the new weight. His car is dialed in no doubt and I think he has a slim shot at a 6.9 on 12 lbs but I am prediciting a 7.0-7.1 because of the cage at 12 psi.

Hoping he proves me wrong...lol - I also will have a 14 lb pulley available for him if he needs it...

My DD goes from zero to the speed limit in the fastest time traffic allows for....yeah, my DD is a 170 hp '04 SVT Focus.

Anyways, those times are fan-friggin-tastic. Simply awesome. I honestly coul dnot imagine having a DD that goes that fast. I am in awe!

300 pounds??? Is yours filled with lead shot? LOL Maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought the chromoly tubing was about 1.5 lbs per linear foot, and the mild steel was about 2.0 lbs/ft. Assuming somewhere between 40 to 50 feet of tubing, I don't see how it could be more than 100lbs for mild steel.

As far as offsetting the weight (which I'm thinking will be about 65-75 lbs), I'll have a few things working for me: (1) with the roll bar, I'm hoping that it will stiffen the car up and reduce the major squat I get on the launch... less squat = less wasted energy, (2) the slightly more aggressive tune, and (3) the addition of the chiller box.

I'm also assuming that Irwindale's track and air will be better than what I normally run in. Last time at Barona, it went 7.1x with a DA in the 2500-3300 range.

And thanks for the pulley offer, but I'm determined to get into the 6's on the 12# pulley. It's personal. haha

LOL...you are right. The 300 lbs is what I TOTAL put on the car including the cage. The cage by itself is a good 100 lbs.

I'm on your side and hoping for ya, Don! I just thinking you have some factors working against ya. The real test is going to be if you can lower your 60' also. If you had a brake it would be in the bag but with the added timing Adam is going to put down low, it may take you a little practice to get the launch dialed in and unfortuneately, you are not going to get that many chances at irwindale.

It is the 'HOUSE OF HOOK' though, there is no doubt. Best hooking track I have ever been too. You're right about the air though and you've got the car so dialed in now that it is only going to take a little extra to get you there.

The icebox is going to be your biggest advantage IMO. You'll be able to run a crap load of more timing by keeping those intake temps low.

Hey, I hope you beat me!...It's all good. My car is a 6.9 machine at Irwindale - Perfect for a bracket runner right now cause it's always within 2 hundreths. I just need to drop some weight now. I'm also looking into an aluminum DS for my trans. I'm just saying for the record I predict for you a 7.003 best at Irwindale...

If I run 7.003, then Donna will probably go 6.999. hahaha

BTW, my best 60' so far has been 1.54 at Barona. I have brand new slicks, and I'll be running them a little softer than before, so let's keep our fingers crossed that they hook. Because one thing is for sure, we're probably only going to get 4 to 6 runs, at best, and I'd hate to waste any of them.

4th gear is OD and I can cruise at 80 mph at 2800 rpm. (3.73 gears)

My shifter is a B&M Ratchet shifter and I think there are a few shots here...
