I am thinking about pulling out the Stock 5sp and going to an AUTO tranny.

Has any one done this yet? If so what type of shifter did you use and do you have any pics of the way it looks installed?

What type of tranny did you us as well I am thinking of a 3sp with an Overdrive.. I want to keep some high way drivability.

I don't have any pics right now cause I'm at work but I switched to a 4 speed AOD and it was the best mod I ever did to my car IMO.

Have all the benefits of a C4 at the strip but I can hit the OD button and cruise at 80 at 2800 rpm all day long!

I went with a full manual valve body with no lockup and no kickdown. If you wanted more of a street car, I would recommend an AODE (same sytstem with electronic OD and lockup and kickdown)

I race at the track a lot so I wanted the full manual. I also like the full manual cause less things to break or go wrong.

I have an Art Carr with a TCS converter and it is rated and garunteed to 1200 hp.
