Steeda Cowl Hood inquiry Can anybody please explain the differences bewteen the Street Cowel Hood and the Racer Cowel Hood besides the 9 lbs difference?
I think they are both 2" cowel, right?
Any guys have the Racer Hood and any pictures are great, especially on any redfires, heh.
Any paint/ instl issues with either?
Thanks.

the cowl on the race hood is fully open whereas the street only has a gap for air to come out through

Need ideas!
I just got a decent quote from a Florida source for the Cowel Street Hood.
Problem, the shipping alone is going to be ridiculous.
Anybody know of a closer source to me, I'm in Seattle?
Any West Coast vendors stock these hoods?
Thanks.

The street cowl has only one opening like in the picture.
The race has an opening on both sides.
2.5" raise

Stoenr,
I live in Seattle, am I going to get alot of rain into my engine bay with the street cowel hood, when driving or at park?
I park outside and my car sits nose up in a sloped driveway.
I must say, those photos of yours give it a menacing look, get stares I bet.
Thanks.

No, you shouldn't get any water in there. Only time I really have was not being careful when washing it.
There is an overhang over the top so its not a direct hit from rain, like an awning on a house.
I had to move my radar detector up some, lol.
Yeah, I get comments on that thing looks evil coming down the road or in a rear view mirror.

I really like that side shot, it looks pro.
Can you shoot the washer tits, I do not see them?
Does hood come with extensions?
Thanks!

Yes, theres 2 little tubes poking out in the pics I posted above from the inside. Between the hole in the hood and my radar detector

Ah, ok I see them now, thanks.
My paint guy says $400 to paint, not bad imo.
I'll post pix after it's done, should be a few weeks away.
I'm debating solid redfire or the Steeda black on cowel.
Any thoughts from anybody?
Or even new ideas?
Thanks.

Please post pics when done. I've been considering the same hood for my redfire. I live about 20 mins from Steeda so I could just run over and pick it up. I've seen several of their hoods over the past couple of years at the steeda stampede but I've never seen one on the redfire. All of them I've seen have the steeda black. I think it's a great look but don't know on the redfire. I've always thought the redfire looks great all one color.

Yeah, I wanted one from day 1 when they came out. I just had too many other mods to do first.
I don't want the "Steeda black" 2 tone paint job although I think it looks real sweet, I'm just going pure redfire as I can't think of any other scheme.
I am doing springs, struts, shocks, panhard, camber plates, Tri Ax next week and then I'll order my hood.
