Yes... Only the stage ones can reuse the stock springs/retainers.

They'd be fine for the street. I'd say 20-25 rwhp.

You're welcome... You might want to give some thought to the stage IIIs. They're not too bad for the street.

The steel ones are fine as far valve control is concerned with these cams, however titanium retainers will add some spring life.

It seem that Comp Cams has changed there mind and now requires the springs and retainers on all cams.

Not good... I always thought it was odd that they didn't require springs for the stage 1s.

I would go with the stage 3's, that and the TB gave me 27rwhp, i would think the stage 2's would be more like around 15rwhp and stage 1 probably not that much. I would change out the springs for any cam swap, since your in there, might as well. I know brenspeed will only sell stage 3's and said stage 1 or 2 isn't worth the money or time.
Stage 3's are definitely streetable, you wouldn't no if i had cams or not. I feel a little lump here and there, barely.

I see that brenspeed now sales a comp cam that doesn't need the springs replaced but still radical,in a way. They said that they worked it out with comp cams to made a stout cam that didn't need to replace the springs to keep the cost low but still great bang for the buck. their HP numbers are alittle high for both though.
