Navy voluteer with the Army? You must be a pe.k.r checker...er...um...Corpman.
Last time I went in to change my insurance I wore one of my old Navy ballcaps and my insurance guy commented that he'd been a Corpman in the Navy. Without thinking I blurted out "Oh, you were a p.cke. checker." He owns the insurance place I go to and all the ladies working in the background cracked up. Surprisingly, my insurance rates didn't go up.
I remember the good ol' days when I used to come back stateside with more money than I knew what to do with. There's a lot of truth to the old saying 'Spend money like a sailor'.
Stay safe and watch out for scorpions in your rack.
DatBoyRacer-Navy guys tend to spend a lot of time out of country (makes it hard on married guys). Longest stretch I had was 4 1/2 yrs before I stepped back onto American soil. First place I went was Arby's. It was wonderful being able to read all the signs and billboards.
