Make sure your have part # 75-5004 (V6 Mustang) and not 75-5003 (V8 Mustang).
this is from their FAQ: Does the S&B Cold Air Intake for the 2005-07 Mustang require an aftermarket tuner (software flash)? The S&B Intake Kit does not require an aftermarket tuner (software flash). The intake tube on the S&B Performance Intake was designed to substantially improve air flow to the engine without the need of an aftermarket tuner.
S&B accomplishes this feat by designing an intake tube that maintains accurate MAF sensor signals to the vehicle's computer. There is a secret behind this, but basically we tuned the intake and MAF sensor to the vehicle and not the vehicle to our intake system. This allows you to keep your stock tune OR upgrade at a later time without any changes to our intake. Just install our intake and your ready to go.

I've never heard of them either.
Most places that perform dyno tunes only use a certain brand or brands of tuners. If you are intent n getting a dyno tune, research which tuners the dyno tune shops near you use, then get that one IF you are sure you want to get a dyno tune.

Is the S&B the one with the cone filter you can see through the plexiglas window?
Mustang-661, I've been doing a lot of research on this CAI stuff, because I, too will be upgrading. You can get a CAI without a tune, but chances are you will get a minimal power gain, that you will, no doubt, be unable to feel. Plus, you run the chance of throwing an engine light error. I just talked to a guy who installed a "no tune" CAI that was interested in, he told me that everything was fine for the first 10 miles, then he got a check engine light. I'm sure you know how sensitive the mass air sensor is on the S197, and that computer doesn't give you any love either. As a temporary solution, (after weeks of research), I decided on the K&N drop in replacement filter as an alternative to a "no tune" CAI. I gained minimal HP (just like a "no tune" CAI), and my engine breathes, much, much better- this is apparent by the fact that I noticed my fuel lasting longer than usual and a slightly improved pick up. During the summer, I plan to upgrade to a Steeda CAI combined with the power of a SCT Xcal3 tuner (this is doing it the right way)- but until then the K&N filter is doing fine job, and I recommend it to you as a fellow V6er. Don't waste your money on a "no tune" CAI.
