Well you get a notice to be reffed and what ever ticket the cop gives you other then the Ref. Then you have to go to the CHP station and have your car checked out and if you fail that then its a ticket maybe around that.
A friend of mine got caught with his 9 second SS and got his car reffed which would be impossible to pass and they would impound his car. So he had to "SALE" it to his cousin out of state and show that the car was sold and he did not own it any more so that he can avoid the charger he still has the car by the way lol just a different title holder.

haha yea, that's exactly why i want to stay street legal... damn CA has way too many regulations though

I have been told that if you get a PO box in Modesto and Reg your car there then you dont have to get it smogged and wont have to worry about CA emissions
That's so strange about the exhaust. I've never been even given a second look about any of my setups. I'm sure you are much louder than me right now with that s/c, but I've heard so many times where people are getting in trouble with SLP's and stock headers. Just seems so weird to me. I mean, I don't granny it around town, but I keep it respectable on the streets and pretty much let her rip on the freeway if there isn't much traffic. Maybe I'm just lucky (knock on wood).
As far as the smog, what's so special about Modesto?
Oh and btw, nice ride. Yeah, I think 600hp will be plenty for the street. Shouldn't have any trouble passing a slower driver.
With my Procharger my car is insanely loud with the SLP's it sounds really good but you have to ease around because as soon as I spool up all you hear is an F-18 getting ready for take off
trust me they all ready do lol.. Every weekend I either get pulled over while we are cruising to either check my car out or ask about what parts I have done to it.
Theres this cop that hangs out around were we cruise and he all ways pulls me over when ever he things I have a new mod. Not to be an A$$ but just because he has a stang too. It freaks me out though so I told him for now on to pull up next to me not pull me over but he thinks its funny.
They are pretty cool were we live though there are ALOT of classic car shows and 90% of them are running straight headers so as long as we are not doing any thing stupid they leave us alone but I get those new cops that are trying to prove them selves pull me over but when im respectful and give them my get out of jail free card (MILITARY ID) they usually are cool.

yea the Sherriffs around here a dicks to kids. I've got friends who've been pulled over and ticketed for 48 in a 45 just as an excuse for the cop to also ring them up for 11:00 curfew at 11:30 (law for 16-year-olds). seriously since there is zero crime around here, the cops have nothing better to do. they detained my friends and I last year for using a fake gun making a film for school. like five 16-year-old boys dressed like it's 1976, with drawn-on mustaches and sideburns are actually going to endanger the safety of others... we were doing our homework, come on
