Default I am having trouble deciding which year Mustang to wait for?

I know the title is hard to understand, so I apologize.

I need a little advice on which year mustang to wait for. I have been doing a lot of research and I have found very little on the 2009 and 2010 model years. I will be ready to purchase in about 9 months and I am not sure If I want to get a 2008, 2009, or 2010. I am willing to wait mid year of 2009 for the 2010 if it will be worth it.

My main questions are:

Does anyone have any definite information on the 2010 model? I found a few articles on the forum from autoblog.

Since the Mycolor option is going away, does that mean the data center that is part of the cluster is also going to be gone? And any info on what is being done to offset its absence?

Basically if there is any info as far as options or features that can be expected for the '09 and '10 models I would appreciate it.

Thanks for the help.

If I was you I would just wait for the 2010 if I really wanted a newer, better Mustang with more HP and more CI's.(Cubic Inches). I read from Motor Trend that 2009 model year will be an abbreviated year meaning there will be very little changes from 2008-2009 Mustangs. I believe that 2010 will have the big changes for the better.

The way things are going, the gas price will be $4.50 a gallon, the Mustang will come with a standard 4 cyl. engine with a V6 as an option and an electric model getting 50 miles per gallon. The convertible will go away and you will buy a tarp as a cover. Mods will be sold by J C Penney and Wal Mart will open a Speed Shop to handle installation. Good luck.

I think the cubes will be history by then, bye bye V8's. I think you will be able to get pretty good deals on the Mustangs before then. Other than the spy photos available with the promise of them being more "modern", there isn't much info on the 2010's. You may just have to wait to make your decision.

You only live once - go buy an '08 and start enjoying now. You might not be around in 2010!

I believe the 2009 model is comming with a sunroof option. Or actually a glass roof option.

I did think about just getting an '08 because I like this body style the best and from what I have seen on the '09 i dont really like the body upgrades. I understand that there is not much on the 2010, because I have looked high and low as well and come up with limited info.

Does anyone know if Ford has any official info on the 2010? Really anything at all even if it is just ideas. I can't find much from Ford itself.

Thanks

Yeah, some think that the 2010 Mustang GT will get a bigger V8 with 350 hp.

And some think that the upcoming 35 mpg CAFE standards are going to cause some Mustang V8s to be replaced with turbocharged V6s (or worse).

Yes, it is pretty well understood that the "glassback" roof is going to be a $2K option for 2009 (and beyond). But MyColor gauges may be gone for 2009.

Ford doesn't want to release info on the 2010 Mustang yet. They want people to buy 2008 Mustangs (and then 2009 Mustangs). Ford doesn't want people holding off and waiting for the 2010 model.

Yeah, but the 3.6 Liter EcoBoost GTDI Motor will have 450 HP!

What's wrong with that?
