Default First time at track in 2005 Mustang GT

Ok I have finally had some time to take my red baby to the track. I have an 05 with a Steeda/FRPP CAI and a Brenspeed tune ( I use 91 tune on the street and the 93 at the track). I did all of my runs with the 91 tune to try to ring out the best I could before I did my last and final run with the 93 tune. First run was 13.9 @ 102. Not bad but not good. The car on this run also had really bad wheel hop something I never had in my 94 stang. I banged out 3 more 13.9's and decided I myself was not gonna drive the car faster. I wish I had my friend as he is a master of beating my times while he drives my car. Well I put in the Brenspeed 93 tune and bang 13.7 but again at 103. All of my speeds were 102-103. My 60 ft times were 2.3 - 2.15. I know I need to work on my launch. So for now I have a 13.7 car and Im kinda dissapointed because in my 94 after heads intake and cam I went 13.5 @ 103 on only my 2nd run ever. I know my 05 is making some decent power. As Ive said about my car if only she could lose some weight my little chubby girl would be mean. I know that I am not the best driver and better launches and 60ft times will probably get my to 13.5. Im goin back next week and just running the 93 tune and I hopin for a 13.5. Also Im looking to add a lightweight driveshaft and Steeda Underdrive pulleys next. And also some skinny tires up front just for the track. With all of this Im hoping for really low 13's on regular street tires.

Get those 60' times down below 2 and you'll be much happier. Are you auto or manual?

Oh yeah that would help. It a 5 speed. I just have a hard time launching. When Im at the track on the start line I am really amped up. I dont know why but I have so much adrenaline and I am just too excited. Its a feeling better than drugs or drinkin. Even though Im now at probably 30+ runs I still feel way too pumped up. So if I can calm down a notch I could have a much better launch. Also where does everyone shift in the 3v? I was doin it a hair below redline. Anyway shes not the fastest or the hottest but shes mine. Who says chubby girls cant be sexy?

What rpm were you launching at? Feathering the clutch or dumping it?
