Since our stangs are made to run on 87 octane (according to manual), is it hurting the motor to run the 91 and 93 octane with the tunes? Sorry if this issue has been raised before. Thanks for the info.

If the car is tuned for higher octane it's fine. If not, you're just wasting money.

I'm only runnin 87 right now until CAI and tunes. I should have asked about the deposits in the fuel. Will they hurt? Up here they are mixing our fuels with 10% ethanol during winter, with the hopes of making it permanent.

Always been a habit of mine to run 93 in high performance cars, except most of mine were usually older and needed 93 or else they'd knock

The PCM might advance timing a bit with higher octane but not the same as being tuned specifically for the higher grade.

only ever put what your car is tuned for you your gas tank. If its tuned for 87 run 87 if its tuned for 110 rune 110 and if its tuned off kool aid run kool aid lol

Thanks for the info. Also should have put that I don't have any tunes or a CAI yet (coming in May).

Kool-aid would be nice, but I would prefer Mountain Dew. Extra kick.
