So i am starting to get the supercharger bug so i went to a very reliable mustang performance shop in my area and he said he mainly deals with vortech superchargers. I asked about kenne bell and he said they are great but if you have issues the customer service is garbage. (im in canada, it might be better in the US). So he quoted me $7500 out the door including dyno tune and everything on a vortech with 8 lbs of boost at 430 horse to the wheel. I just want to know if vortech is a good supercharger and i know this shop is known to be on the expensive side which i dont mind cause i want it done right but is $7500 way to much?

Vortech is great. Cannot go wrong with that. Never heard nothing bad about Kenne Bell's customer service though.

hey matty, I see ur in the shwa...was it the Mustang Toy store you went to? If so I would agree they are a little on the expensive side...Problem for us is there isn't a mustang shop on every corner up here..might want to consider a night away over the border, say to Alternative in Michigan for an install?? With the good dollar it might be worth the three hour drive..

Ya Dasilve does good work i have had it done there before and they are great just a bit expensive, have you had work done at the shop in Michigan?

So i think i have decided to try and do the install myself, i hear the hardest part is routing the intercooler, now do i even need a kit with an intercooler if i am running low boost?
