I was looking at one recently at my local Ford dealer (not like I can afford one lol) It's marked up a little over 60K when MSRP is around 48K. I was just looking at it and it looks dead sexy, the thing I didn't like was how the stripes were put on. It's like someone can peel them off or in time they will start to peel off on their own. I say keep your ride and go FI, your ride most def looks unique
Damn dude, my dealer by me sells them for 43-44k.. no jerkin around, nothing.. seems like people across the globe are still getting raped though.. like the other guy said 60k for the gt500.. thats pitiful if sumone buys that..

By the way, I knew you would be spending a little (okay, alot) of dough on mods. Admit it, you are addicted. repeat after me..."Hello, my name is Gary, and I am a modaholic". Now, dont you feel better.
So are you liking your mods? Can I interest you in a GT500?

i like the GT500's a lot and would consider getting one but many years down the road after i am a little older. Even i have to admit thats a little too much horsepower for a 20 year old
But think about it, they were over 25k over MSRP a year or two ago. Now they are being sold at just above or at MSRP. I say a year from now, every one of them is being sold at MSRP or even lower. Just the other day i saw a GT sitting on the dealer's lot, brand new, but with the discounts they were offering, you could get 6,000 off on it!!!
I think i got about 3,500 off on mine. Maybe i should have waited a little longer

MrV.....I LOVE the CAI/tune and the FRPP GTAs....the car's response is so much quicker now. The polished 4 inch tips of the GTAs look sweet as well. The CDC Classic chin spoiler is being shipped out today (I had the guy at the performance shop order the painted one from AtlantaMustangs). So that should be on my car by the end of the week.
After that it's probably either the Legend or GT500 spoiler to replace my wing spoiler. After hearing people on here talk about the different kinds of spoilers, those seem to be the ones people like the most. I still haven't decided which one though. I eliminated the Rousch spoiler from the mix. Then after that I am probably looking at the Agent 47 mirrors....then after that I am even thinking about 4.10 gears....ugh.....lol
Yes, I did know that...additionally, if you modify it with common things like a CAI w/tune, lowering, window tinting, wheels, or any of the various cosmetic mods...your value will drop too.
Oh, that's not a big deal. At MSRP, just buy two of them!
Personally, I think your ride is pretty sharp. A s/c would put you over the top. You'd turn more heads in your car than that GT500.
The Roush 427's and Stage 3's out perform the GT500. When they were first introduced they were hard to get which resulted in high prices. Now there are plenty on dealer lots so demand is down and stock is high. One thing to concider is that Carrol Shelby is getting old fast, so when he goes, all of the "shelby's" will go up in value big time.
Hmmmmm GT500 at MSRP. Many dealers are selling them at MSRP, but I think I would pass on it and if I was in the market, I would definately look for a fresh new look. Like a "C" or "C"...........
Right now I enjoy the Stang, and really love driving the new truck.

lol how do you guys figure that the roush is a better car?
It has better suspension maybe but that is about it.
Rear End: Both the same
Transmission: 6060 Goes to the GT500
Engine: 5.4 Forged Block GT500
Induction: GT500 is capable of way more boost then the Roush
Interior: Both Equal
Style: Both Equal
Suspension: Roush
The overal potential is unstoppable for the GT500. With only bolt on's alone it is capable of 650rwhp, Not to mention a 9 second car with just a Blower Upgrade. Its not like you will have to spend another 7k for a blower I think its like 3,200 or some thing for a whipple or kb that will bolt on that monster to make that power.
If I did not have so many mods in my car I would get a GT500 in a heart beat. That car just screams monster. I would pay a little over MSRP for one still. I think 48k is a good price for one.
the bastards in arizona are tryin to sell a vert. for 72,000 i told them bite me....that i could a hard top off the internet for 47 to 50k all day long. or a blower for 6,000 and go mess with a gt500....the only plus that i see to the 500 is the 5.4 platform....can make more power with out internal engine mods compared to the 3v 4.6. but on that note...i could build a whole other motor for less than financing a 50 to 70k car.
These days with many dealers asking (and getting) mark up prices, anything that at or below MSRP isn't bad. But like many have stated, even at MSRP, once you drive it off the lot, there goes the value as well. Long term, its a good buy! Short term.....Not So Much!!!
