Has anyone added the Ford Racing CAI

I was wondering if anyone has installed the new Bullitt Cold Air Intake on their 2007 Mustang GT? Do you need a special tune from Ford?

Yes you do need a tune. As far as I know you can't purchase it without the Ford tuner.

I wonder if there is any difference from 2007 tune or 2008 tune?
I like the way it looks better than other CAI, but concerned I can not get a correct tune since they state it is for the 2008 model.

2007 & 2008 PCMs are the same. It might have issues with an 05/06.

You would need a tune but I don't think it makes any difference who makes the tune.

Well I think I'm going to give it a try. Looks like I can always back up my orig. configuration and save it on the Ford supplied code loader and then reload if I have any problems.

It is supposed to come with a Ford code loader and you download the tune. I hope I can select 2007 when downloading the tune. I already orderd it so I see what happens. I guess I could always buy a tune from someone also if the ford tune doesn't work correctly since I have the 2007.

It should work. If for some reason it doesn't, a dyno tune would be your best answer.

Just received the PROCAL Flash Tool from Ford Racing Performance Parts for the took about 20 minutes to install the 85 mm Cold Air Kit (M-9603-GTB - (Bullitt) style.
Flash took about 6-7 minutes. Works grest what a difference that made. So far no codes come in so I hope as in well!

I hopefully the pics I took are attached.

WOW! I love it. I want to get one. SO you guys think 05/06 wont work right with it? I think Im gonna email Brenspeed and see if they can make a tune for one. I think I might just have to get this intake. It looks really stock and looks like it lets 0 hot air in.

That is an awesome looking CAI setup, looks pretty well isolated. Very nice, I love it too!
