I have the Saleen Kit (essentially Eibach Pro) with a 1.2" drop in fornt and 1.6" drop in rear, plus I am running 20" wheels with 255/35ZR20 (front) & 275/35ZR20 (rear) tires....I have been told numerous times that my stance is right on. I rarely scrape, but I do need to pay attention to dips, driveways and speed bumps. Ride is a bit rougher, but handles like it is on rails.
I have the Roush springs (3/4") front and back on my vert. The drop was not that drastic, but combined with my tires, I can no longer get my floor jack under the car.
I am also in New England but drive a Subaru in the winter.
So are the S197's from the factory lower than the New Edge SN-95's?
I think they might be just a little. The SN95's just look like they're on stilts out of the box. I didn't notice it too much on my 06GT when we first got it but I knew I was lowering her because I always liked the look.

Everything I've seen says Roush springs provide a 1" drop.
Ya Know, My favorite part of Allfordmustang is the forums. And everytime I read them I am truly impressed with the amount of information and support form all of the members.
stlwagon... Your head is going to explode! You have just too much info in there! Just about every post I read, you have some sort of new and/or helpfull info. Officially, the forum GURU. Thanks to you, I have ordered a set of Steeda springs from My local dealer. Your right, I just could not go lower than the 1". Just the thought of possibly scraping on anything would be on my mind every time I got in the car.
Thanks Again! I will post when I have completed the install.
Just for the record... My Mustang hibernates from early Nov to early April. So I have no issue with snow, infact it has never seen rain!

I think you'll like the Steeda springs. They lower just enough without sacrificing ride quality.
The fabrication of driving onto 2x4's. I very simple and effective idea. That is very cheap, but yet clever. I like the idea and I will use it for any further projects, because the floor jack I have was useless, but no more. Thanks blak05.
mine is the same, jack wouldnt fit under, my buddy with his slammed fox body threw the 2X4's infront of the tires and said drive on up, actually felt kinda silly that I hadnt thought of it..little tricks always seem to save lots of time!

I have the Eibach Pro springs installed which lowered it 1" all the way around. Looks much better and it didn't have any negative impact on the ride.
On the negative side the car now sits low enough that I have to enter / exit all driveways at an angle, otherwise I scrape the bottom of the car. Since I also have a "classic style" front spoiler on the car I also tend to scape the bottom of that coming out of driveways if I don't take it real slow.
I really didn't think that 1" would make a difference but it did. Also, I've had the car up on the rack to see where it's scraping but have yet to see any marks....it just sounds bad when it happens.
Hope that helps

i am not lowered but when i change my oil i have a pair of 2x4's that i nailed together that are stacked 4 or 5 high that give me about a 8 inch lift and allow me to get under there and change that o so special oil
I have spoken to a few engineers at Roush, and they say that when lowering 1.5" or less, the only adjustment that will need to be made is the Toe. As most of you know Roush produces 427R, 428R and Stage 3 Mustangs that have their suspension package installed. Not only does this kit improve performance but it also lowers the cars an 1". Now its hard to argue with a company that has such a great reputation and a lot of success with what they do! In most of the posts I read about lowering, someone says that Caster / Camber plates are needed! Who is right?
