FYI: pre-cut 3M paint protection kits for your vehicle
A lot of people here seem to have either had a problem with paint damage because of road debris, etc. or are concerned that something like that will occur to their "baby".
Below is a link to one of several companies that sells relatively inexpensive pre-cut kits of 3M film that you can apply to various parts of your car (e.g., bumber, hood, rocker panels, a-pillar, etc.). You can go to the product link on their site and tailor the pre-cut kit to your specific vehicle configuration (i.e., year, model, etc.):
Does anyone here have the clear bra installed? I'd be concerned about it turning yellow after a couple years.
I have had mine for 2 years plus and you can not hardly see them unless you know what to look for. Preparation is the key I cleaned the area well with alchol . I then applied the clear 3m precut tape. It sure helps when cleaning all that burnt rubber off.

Thanks for that info? Do they have one to cover the front? It doesn't list one on their site.
Once I get my stripes on, you better bet I'm going to put this, or something very similar, on.
I work for a company that installs both the 3-M clear bra and the Solarguard Clearshield. A few years ago 3M had a problem with it yellowing, only could see if your car is white. They since have fuxed the problem. (glue layer) I recommend it and would rather use a professional to install and do the complete wrap vs. the kits. It is fairly easy to install for someone that is a good window tinter and takes their time. We charge anywhere from $800 to 1200 to do a car for the full front, door handles, mirrors if painted.

I got mine from ebay. I would not pay some guy 700 or whatever to do what any able body person could do. I used a small squeegee and got all the air bubbles out, you can hardly see mine.

I had the XPEL Clear Bra Paint Protection, www.xpel.com put on my car a few weeks ago. Decided to have a professional installer do it, since the material and install are warranted for 7 years. While watching the installer apply it, I'm glad I went in that direction vs. doing it myself, it can be tricky. The installer used to use 3M, but switched over to Xpel for a couple of reasons, one he said, the thickness of the Xpel (8 mil) allows it to be virtually invisible, but is extremely durable, which I can attest to. While attempting to poke a hole in it to re-apply my hood pins it took a lot of effort with a finishing nail to puncture the material. I had the entire front end done and all lights for less than $900. And it's all warranted, so if I need anything replaced or redone, I take back to installer and it's fixed for free.
