Default SLP Headers, X-pipes, Loudmouths good or bad?

i want to get Lt headers and a x pipe with my SLP loudmouths. SLP seems to be a quality product and i don;t want any connection issues so i was looking at their headers and mid pipe. are they good products or should i get someone elses stuff. Im a FNG but i want to install them myself so are they fairly easy to install?
I like the interchangablity of their midpipes so i can put the cats on if i need to. im from IN but ill be moving to TX next summer so im not too worried about emissions but i might be worried about a noise violation.
Thanks

Well, you might want to reconsider running a full SLP setup for one main reason: noise. Those SLP loudmouths are GREAT on an otherwise stock exhaust system, however when coupled to long tubes and midpipe, the whole setup is extremely extremely loud. Just my .02

Very good headers but Loudmouths are not good with that combo. It is painfully loud.

The cats wont dull that pain very much; you'd be much better off choosing a different axleback system. My friend had the full SLP setup (no cats) and it sounded horrible until he changed to Borla Stingers in the back.

Get an H pipe if you want it to be deeper. Axle backs are up to the person. SLP+headers=LOUD!!!!!!!! I can't express that enough and if you like to romp on it, everyone will know. Couldn't even order food at a drive-thru it was so loud. And that was with cats. The brand of header isn't going to make that big of a difference as far as sound goes.

Pypes Violators are a good option. They are loud, but not even close to as loud as the LM's.

I have a couple of clips up in the talk section if you want to see the difference.

I meant in the clips section, but since you are a squid, I'll make an exception. Been there, done that on those shipboard internet lines. Suprised they even let you look at this site.

SLP's with catted X and LT headers:

Pypes Violators with catted H and LT headers:

If you listen closely, you can tell that the second clip is not only quieter, but a lot less raspy. I love both, but I had to have other considerations when driving with this on a daily basis, like cops.

MAC's are also very loud (probably 2nd loudest after the SLP's), and I'm not sure how bearable they would be when connected to an H/X and longtubes. I would recommend NOT getting Flowmasters, as a couple of my friends have had problems with theirs, and the sound is not very appealing. Might want to look at Borla's, FRPP (basically Borlas), Pypes, Corsa, etc...
