Default BIG DAY at Road America Update

My day at Road America is beyond discription!! Got some really good classrom instuction. And then a bit over 1 hr. on the 2.2 mile road course. Following a pace car three cars. We would change running order every 2 laps. After 9 laps we pitted for critique. Then back out. Don't know my top speed. But cornering was awesome. I was just comming out of a corner under hard acceleration the car in front of me was in a spin. Just kept on the gas and missed any incident. Hash ride is putting it mildly. 82* fire suit fullfaced helmit. must have been over 100* in the car. By no means can I say I did good, but I felt like I was on top of the world. if anyone wants an AWESOME DAY try it!!! I'm attaching a pic. Don't know if it's ligit for the forum but I gotta do it!
The one thing about it is I was 100% relaxed througout the whole time on the track. They did tell us to focus on what was going to happen not what was happening. I know that's why when that guy spun out it did not even phase me. They also impress upon you to use the whole track. Had a difficult time in that respect. BUT I HAD ONE HELL OF A TIME!!

Road A is a great track for spectators but it's pretty lame to ride/drive on. Keep in mind I am spoiled though, I have ridden at just about every track in the US. I'm sure he had a blast though. Even a boring track is incredibly exciting if you don't get to do it much......ahh the old days.

Glad you had fun. Those classes are a riot. It's amazing how much you learn in one or two days. You have now screwed yourself though. Everyone says they won't but once you get the track bug it's all downhill from there. Within the next few years you will be driving 5 over on public roads and you will have a track car in the garage for track weekends. If I were you I would trade my car in for a FR500C as soon as possible.
